With celebrity hosts from various fields like the PGA Tour, NHL, CFL, and Hollywood, our golf tournament always sells out, with 248 players, while the gala dinner draws an average of 900 guests. Board of Directors

Born and raised in Saskatoon, Adam is a founding member of Synergy 8 Community Builders and is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community. Adam has been fortunate to spend his entire professional career with Enterprise Holdings and during his tenure has held an array of leadership roles.  In his current position, Adam is the Director of Sales, for Central Canada and responsible for the commercial development of all the company’s business lines. In addition to his professional pursuits, Adam places a high value on community involvement and currently sits on the Board of Directors for Saskatoon Crime Stoppers,  Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers, and Saskatoon Community Mediation Services.  Adam’s community engagement was recognized in 2013 when he was awarded the Queen Elizabeth 2nd Diamond jubilee medal. A steadfast believer in lifelong learning, Adam holds an MBA from Cape Breton University.   Adam enjoys working on his mediocre golf game and spending time with his family at the lake.

Troy is currently City Councillor for Ward 4 in the City of Saskatoon (elected in 2012). Troy is also the Director of Public Relations for Medavie Health Services West based in Saskatoon. Troy is a graduate of Sask Polytechnic and University of Saskatchewan. Troy is an Advanced Care Paramedic with 26 years experience and oversees Saskatoon’s Heart Safe Program. Troy was the Vice President of the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce in 2012, and currently sits on several Boards in the City of Saskatoon. Troy received the 2006 Stars of Life Award and the Governor’s General Medal, Saskatchewan Protective Services Medal, and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal. Troy and his wife Nicole owned a salon in downtown Saskatoon for 15 years employing 10 full time staff. Troy, Nicole, and their daughter Kenzie love living in Saskatoon!

A resident of Saskatoon for nearly 35 years, Trent was raised in Yorkton, and moved to Saskatoon to pursue post-secondary education at the University of Saskatchewan. After successfully obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree and his Chartered Accounting designation, Trent joined Nutrien (formerly PotashCorp), in May of 2000.  Over the last 24 years Trent has worked in several departments within the organization and currently hold the position of Vice President, Financial Business Services, and is responsible for a team of approx 600 people, spanning the the globe.  Having established himself in his career, Trent wants to spend more time helping out others who aren’t as fortunate. With two beautiful daughters in the family, focusing on helping kids is a priority for Trent. “As a father, when you see kids that need help, it tears you up and you ask yourself, what if that was my child, how far would I go to get them the assistance they need.  Joining Synergy 8 was an easy decision for me because of the group’s mandate to improve the lives of children in our community”. Trent, his wife and two daughters, love living in Saskatoon and are proud to give back to the community that has been very good to them.

Jason is currently the Director of Sales & Events at Prairieland Park Corporation, where he has worked since 2007. He was raised in Saskatoon and attended the University of Saskatchewan, graduating with a Sport & Leisure Management degree from the College of Kinesiology. Jason is a founding member of the Off The Leash Luncheon Alumni Committee that organizes the annual fundraiser to benefit the U of S men’s Huskie hockey scholarship program. He is married with 2 son’s that keep him busy participating in various activities and sports.  As an original member of the Synergy 8 Community Builders since 2009, Jason enjoys giving back to the community he calls home. 

Yorkton area raised, Rob moved to Saskatoon in 1990 and has since made it his home. After a brief time in retail, and some time at the U of S, Rob found himself at the Patricia Hotel as a Beverage Room Manager. He was recruited by the Great Western Brewing Company as a sales representative, spent some time with North Ridge Developments as Sales Manager, and has enjoyed nearly 16 years of success in the radio industry with Rawlco Radio and Harvard Broadcasting. Rob has now joined NSC Minerals as an Account Manager. He and his wife, Starla, are quite active with their 2 young sons. Rob remains active with golf, and is happy to give back to the community where he has found success!

Craig is the first Synergy member to retire after working at SaskTel for 35+ years.  Craig has been involved in a number of nonprofit, community events and charity organizations ranging from Chair of the Host Committee – 119th Canadian Men’s Amateur Golf Championship,  President – Riverside Country Club, Victoria Park Summer Festival as a Director for three years, AVP Sales and Marketing for the World Junior Hockey Championships, Board member of the Saskatchewan Open for the first 2 years, Past President of the Board for Saskatoon Crime Stoppers, Director of Sales for the 2013 Memorial Cup Hockey Championships and a number of other volunteer positions over the years. Craig is an avid golfer, enjoys curling, pickleball and family vacations somewhere warm. Craig is married and has two grown married children along with 2 granddaughters who all volunteer and support Synergy 8, they all enjoy living in Saskatoon and having the opportunity to give back to the community with a huge focus on kids!

Scott is the Regional Sales Manager with DGI Supply and has been with them since 2006. Scott was born and raised in the city of Saskatoon and still resides here with his family. Scott has been actively involved in the community for many years, with coaching both of his kids and belonging to the community association. Having been through the health care system with his son’s own experience, Scott would like to give back and help other kids in any way and to ensure that we give our kids everything needed to cope with whatever situation they are dealing with. Scott also serves on the Board of Directors at the Rodd Hamm Memorial Arena.

Randy Singler is a lifetime resident of Saskatoon, where he enjoyed growing up and playing sports in the community. During the last eight years he has pursued a career in Real Estate in Saskatoon. Randy has been awarded top honours for his accomplishments in assisting his clients with their real estate portfolios. Randy and his wife Sherri are now the owners of Coldwell Banker Rescom Realty in Saskatoon, and part owners in Windows and Doors Direct. His past endeavours also include owning a local Home Inspection Company, and working in the heating and cooling trade with the University of Saskatchewan for 19 years. Randy is dedicated to giving back to the community by sitting on The Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation and the Idea’s Inc Board of Directors and loves to participate in events to help growth and development in the community.
